Chapter 15

Hearing the distinctive beep, Jason smiled as he took out his cell phone and read the text message from Kaden. He must have unlimited texting for the number of messages he had been sending.

I’m doing the housework naked, the text message read.

Jason’s smile grew wider as he texted back.

Tease!

In a few short weeks, they had fallen into a routine. Kaden had taken over Jason’s home as well as his life, and Jason had stopped waiting for the world to stop spinning if he had the audacity to be happy. Jason loved everything about Kaden, from his Doctor Who obsession to his tendency to babble in long, jumbled sentences. Jason especially loved going home to find Kaden waiting for him with a smile. Kaden took pleasure in cooking for Jason, and Jason had to confess that he loved sitting with Kaden and enjoying a meal while listening to Kaden’s chatter about his day. Looking at his watch, Jason growled in displeasure, knowing he still had four hours to go.

Hearing a laugh, Jason looked up to find his coworkers grinning at him. “What?” he barked.

“Nothing,” they all said in unison, still smiling.

“Is Kaden coming for lunch today?” Detective Rainer asked.

The next message came.

I need a shower. I’m all dirty now.

Jason looked at the message and felt himself get hard. Moving in his seat, he tried to get comfortable before looking at Detective Rainer.

“No, can’t make it today, but he is picking me up, and we are going to catch a movie,” he confessed. Since when did I become the sharing type? Jason thought in disgust. He tried to find his usual frown but couldn’t keep it in place when the next message came through.

Wish you were here to wash my back and front and . . .

Behave! he texted back.

Make me  was the prompt reply.

Jason couldn’t wait anymore. Over the weeks, they had sexually explored each other’s body, but Jason had not let it go too far for fear of hurting Kaden. They slept in the same bed every night, wrapped in each other’s arms. Kaden was an anaconda in his sleep, wrapping himself around Jason in a punishing grip, not that Jason minded. It didn’t matter which position they fell asleep in; Jason always woke up with Kaden tucked under his arm with Kaden’s head on his chest. Jason hadn’t thought he would ever share a bed with someone, but it just felt natural with Kaden. Jason wondered if he would ever be able to go back to sleeping alone.

Jason enjoyed the feel of Kaden’s body against his, but it was no longer enough. Jason wanted that hot, tight body wrapped around him, and Jason trusted that Kaden wanted him just as much. It was time to totally give in to Kaden.

“I’ve got some errands to run. I’ll be back in a couple of hours,” Jason announced.

“Sure. Say hi to Kaden,” Officer Wilkinson said.

Jason spun around to give a scathing reply but was interrupted by Detective Anders.

“We like him. He’s good for you.
